this book reads(listens) like a cross between anime and an rpg video game. Its a lot of fun to listen to but not for the easily offended although I didn’t realy object to any of it.

Really amazing book, everything from characters and storyline. Music, sound effects. Also I loved that it had rpg elements, skills and levels. Most import I felt like I’m there. As others have mentioned, my one small issue is that sometimes it’s difficult to know who’s speaking at the moment as some of the voices are a little too similar. Overall, the performance itself was nicely done and the story has me hooked. I really can’t wait for the next one in the series.

not a lot of new things… it sets up for further books as well as ties other books by the same author into the same universe…not bad, just not a lot of significance happens that need an entire book…but then I might have missed several things that only gain significance in the next book…I’m still..
lots of litrpg today rely on only the gaming part of the story. Dave does a great job making both the game world and the real world matter. Really enjoyed this one.

Jeffry Hays always narrates well. The main character however is poorly done. He is crude, arrogant and stupid. Every time he talks to women I cringe.
This book is wrong in nearly every way imaginable. I smiled and laughed the entire way through. The writing is brilliant. I was so sad when it ended. I highly recommend this book to mature adult audiences.
