To start off, this is not a literary masterpiece, it’s not going to be remembered by future generations… however, putting that aside, this book is extremely funny. The characters and especially the protagonist are hilarious. Yes it sometimes has explicit sexual content, but I don’t think it was meant to be read to young ones..

Very familiar with the japanese style rpg fantasy novel genre, wherein the characters are aware of their own hp, levelling up, etc… this is by far not the BEST example of such, but it is pretty decent, though the tone is a bit uneven – it veers a little too graphically into the sexual component..

I really enjoy this series, love the world building also you better keep Jeff Hays as the voice of these books. I really enjoy his work and I cannot see anyone else as Henry and Jason.
