Beautiful start to a trilogy with one of my favorite narrators so far behind it. Let’s hope Aaran keeps up the fun pace!

What a great fantasy piece. It throws away conventional format, and gives you the POV of a lowly dungeon monster. Boxy’s journey from a weak monster into a city class threat is amazingly funny, and you will not be sorry for the read. I’m just sorry that there aren’t any other novels out in this..
clever

Great book.

A drawn out version of the manga/anime Overlord with some Count of Monte Cridto elements. Imagine someone playing an rpg for the first time and narrating every click and action from a first person pov. A great performance to a mostly unique anf ok story. That said I would/will buy the rest of the series.
good, but to wordy

thoroughly enjoyable however by the end you’re left wondering “wait it’s over”, because it feels like nothing’s really progressed from the start. As someone who has been reading ahead in this series, it does lay some groundwork for the next book, but it feels like half of the next book should have been included in this..
