The story isn’t particularly innovative. It feels a lot like Ready Player One had a baby with He who fights with monsters, but it lacks the pizazz of either of those pieces of work. I think I would have given it a 3 star or even 4 if there hadn’t been some weird racial subtext…

this was outstanding! the story was very interesting, the descriptions painted the pictures so perfectly, the voice actors did an outstanding job!

Extremely well-performed oration. The storyteller has a great sense of timing and does multiple voices very well. We laughed a lot! Cannot wait to hear Book 2!!!!
I have enjoyed all of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series so far (I have not finished all books available in the series yet), and this is my favorite so far! I can’t wait to see where the story goes! Unlike most of the action series I’ve read / listened to, all parts of the story..

MC is super naive and childlike in some ways but cunning in others. An overall enjoyable, lighthearted story with substance and depth to the overarching plot. Can’t wait to continue the adventure.
