I’m sorry I waited to read this book. it was absolutely fantastic. a great world with interesting characters and a great magic system.

For how much the MC gets his a** kicked there’s almost no real story, or adventure. It’s a Sisyphian uphill battle of one a** kicking after the next. Then the book ends. I think this book would be ok if there was some story in there, but there isn’t so it’s not. Avoid this one..
IMO the author spent way too much time explaining cultivation mechanics. It was built well into the story so it wasn’t bad, just a lot. Narration: 2020 The Rise of Travis Baldree.
Very slow for 75% of it. Narrator sounded like he had something in his mouth most of the time.Not nearly as crafty and enthralling as the rest of the divine dungeon books, but it was a great backstory for one of my favorite characters from the series
Yeah the MC gets kicked into a pit of despair for the first half of the book and he isn’t some mary sue, its about how he deals with and overcomes the challenges so stick with it the ending is very satisfying.
