I have to say how well it avoids the tropes and plays it straight no sudden hooks and unexpected twist just soild story and character work that was fun and very actiony would read sky sequels

Love the narrator but when i listend to the book i realized im currently reading the “manga” with the same name so if u want to see it painted thats a cool way to read it after or before this.

I really like Dakota krout books, really great stuff in here. looking forward for the next one.

I’ve really liked all of Dakota’s books, but this one was very disappointing. The plot was missing for most of the book and the main antagonist was very unbelievable as a character. I kept waiting for something to happen, but the wait was interminable.

7:42:48 there is an ear shattering beep. Other than that it’s what I would expect from Wight. I can’t wait to start the second viewpoint.

This book was great! The story was fantastic and I love the nice dynamics of the characters between each other. The story pacing was nice and the narration was phenomenal! A great underdog story for sure!

It sounds cliche but I can’t wait for the next five chapters. This book has left me on the edge of my seat.

I enjoyed this new universe and thoughtful telling but not without some difficulty. The trite deference and phony politeness the MC uses to cast themselves as humble or less important is nauseating.
