it starts out with a down on his luck guy but he perseveres but not the way most of these books do, his triumphs and tribulations more often than not end up with him being a punching bag. I can say the character is pretty dumb but the story explains why and so that’s ok..
this series is absolutely amazing. I cant wait for the next part of the series
I go into a cultivation book expecting the character to grow. there was almost no growth nor substantial gains in anyway in this book. it felt like this entire book should’ve been the first chapter of an actual cultivation book.

Dennis Vanderkerken takes us further into a world we have already grown to love! The backstory of the odd, loveable professor Artorian unlocks mystery of a world of cultivation and magic. I was drawn into the story by a perfect narrator for this old man and was hoping for the end to never arrive.
like a roller coaster, part amazing, part sucks the gut outta you but in the end you think what a bloody ride!! great narration but I reserve 5/5 for productions like sound booth
