not the best in the series but still enjoyable. (small spoiler?) this is the one where the hero goes off to train so he learns the forbidden/hidden secrets that no one else knows and becomes ‘god like’ to all the squishy ‘lessers’. every cultivating series has this so it’s not that big of a deal…

Simple. Fun. Interesting characters that I’m looking forward to growing up with. Had a few unreasonable plot twists. I’m really looking forward to the next book. The narrator was solid.
