during the beginning of this book I was concerned I might not like it but by the end of the book I loved it.

i enjoyed the book, reminded me of my d&d days, magic, swords, sly villains and shrewder hero, whose heroics keep winning him favors.

Great listen, but I liked the craddle saga better as it is More fun.

Good opening for a new series. I was skeptical going into the book but I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next one!

While I enjoyed book 1, I found this book a marked improvement. There was much more of a cohesive bonding between Alex and his 3 companions.
