I was wildly disappointed with the ending. so far the books have been great, but at the end it leaves you hanging and unsatisfied. i dont listen to the books to hear from the point of view of a whole new set of characters 3/4 of the way through. i listen to the books to..
Great series

This is a somewhat unique and interesting story… so I’ll start by saying that I generally recommend it before I go into the inevitable rant that is coming… Shades First Rule has a solid plot, good world building, and solid character development. Unfortunately, this author clearly suffers from an illness which is sadly very common..
Fun and original

I really loved this book. I’ve encountered some books that follow non-human humanoid protagonist but this was the first time I came across where the protagonist was a straight up monster. It was a lot of fun getting this novel perspective. Travis Baldree did a great job bringing the characters in this book to life.
So I really enjoyed the book, I like that are hero is a none standard race. something personally I’ve been wanting in more fantasy books.the npcs are rather fun and fairly colorful bunch, though I really hope we get to experience them more soon. the worlds are interesting though I hope we get more background..
