Honestly, first 5-6 hours were pretty bland for story sake unlike the first book which was entertaining front to back. though it was totally worth it for the last few hours

If you’re here reading this comment it likely means you’re interested in Fantasy novels. I’m not normally into epic fantasy, but this series has great promise. The world building is a bit slow as in many novels of this type. It has enough action to carry you through all the necessary descriptions with an obvious..
I can’t quite say what it is about this but that doesn’t make it as good as the first two novels in the series. It could be because of the main characters stalled cultivation that seems more like a plot element rather than really being part of the main character true progression. Whatever it is..
5/5 for me

Very much a side quest story. Was hoping for main character progression after such a long time, but it was not to be. Main character is pretty much a narrator in this story, and I found myself liking his former rival more than him. Lots of philosophical type stuff, which is fun for a while,..
Wow

This was amazing! These characters really seam real! The personality and character development is amazing! I think some of the best things were the constant fights and ricks relationships with the people around him is just as entertaining as the fights. My favorite is how Rick and his sister act with each other, super funny!
great ending to the series

This was the best book of the series. The first couple books could be a bit of a chore to get through as they are so technical. half a book one and two is just describing how the world works with essence/mana/etc. so you end up with books that have very little action or plot..
Even better than the first
