this is an amazing story, the ideas and content are really next level.the only thing I don’t like is that the power ups the MC go through mean nothing he is always fighting someone stronger than him and there is always a struggle against greater odds, which makes me zone out alot. but that’s ok..

This book is several notches above the typical cultivation-type novel; the characters are well-defined and the struggle with fairly deep philosophical issues. Our MC succeeds, mostly without winning, but it’s satisfying nonetheless. The only slight ding I’d give the novel is that it wasn’t quite clear what sort of training the Sages of the Underpass..
