I could really just listen to this entire book just for the brother-sister awesomeness that they portray. Don’t get me wrong, the story is good, the characters are GREAT. The action is EXCELLENT. But the dynamic between the brother and sister is worth getting this book alone. EXCELLENCE!

The ridiculously talented author Sarah Lin writes another winner with this sequel. A riff on the LitRPG / Wuxia genre, SC2 weaves familiar tropes throughout, while swerving around the cliche potholes lesser authors drive right into. Writing is good (very good). Characters are believable. Plot balances daily routine, life planning, relationships, lucrima portfolio management… all..
Travis is his usual self putting on a great performance and gave this a +1 star to overall. maybe the fact the author wants chines money he cant push his far left political BS so his heart isn’t in the series started out great and the further along it goes it seems to run out..
