The mark of a good story is that it fulfills the promises it makes to it’s readers. Wintersteel fulfills a promise you probably didn’t realize was made all the way back in Unsouled. Also while the previous book may have seemed disappointing to some with all its low points this book capitalizes on those losses..

I’m 4 hours in. One interesting thing has happened in 4 hours. otherwise it’s just narration that goes on & on & on & on….I’m disappointed really, because of all the reviews that promised a good listen. It’s too much talking & nothing really happens. I keep thinking something will happen…and then just more talking…
