After the last book, “skysworn” which in my opinion was a setup, shorter, mostly boring book, this is quite the opposite. It actually seems more of “side quest” for our MC, but ends up being the most exciting adventure to date. Our MC gets a taste of things he needed, and shows us once again..

The magic system is interesting and intricate (and I’ve been re-reading the cosmere, so I’m spoiled when it comes to cool magic systems…), the main character is relatable and likable, the world building is FANTASTIC, and the story is amazing. Loved every page, and will be continuing this series

This is a good fun romp, until the second half of boom 4 which feel like they take hours as you have to suffer through a bunch of useless side character PoVs who just watch the big bad torture everybody until the hero finally shows up saves the day and then is blamed for everything..
