I’ve listened to all the Cradle/Unsouled books and just started this series. It has great banter, plot, characters, and a fully immersive new world. Narration is also excellent with Travis Baldree again. Will definitely finish this whole series. Thank you Wight and Baldree!

The MC is pretentious, arrogant, and self-serving in a douche, annoying way. He pretends he is strong and puts himself and others in shitty situation to pretend he’s doing the right thing. The author literally uses that crappy attempt at a “good”character to drive the story. Annoying, more entitled(after dying) version of Gon.

I enjoyed this first book in a super hero litrpg series. I found some of the gamification elements to be unique and I appreciated the inventiveness. I enjoyed the pop culture (gaming and music mostly) references. I look forward to hearing more!
I’m new to the cultivation genre but I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I feel like it didn’t get too far into the mechanics of cultivation, which is where I tend to lose interest. Instead, it had a good amount of depth while keeping the story moving forward. I’m looking forward to the next..
