Interesting plot but there is too much nonsense statistics and dinging which interrupts the story and really adds nothing. if more time was spent on developing the plot the story would be equivalent to Dune.

I really wish that the story lines had not intersected this completely. I suppose this is okay for one book. And I hope that the author explains some of the earlier history we miss in another story. However, I hope it is in the form of a novella and not a full book. The problems..

I really enjoyed the growth of the characters. you can see them starting to transition from being kids to making more adult decisions in adult situations.

I have listened to this series repeatedly, and I mean repeatedly. I’m probably on my 10th listen; I’ve lost count. Will Wight develops a complex world by peeling off layers of complexity like layers of an onion. You get a good introduction to the mechanics of the magic system in the first book before it..

this is a good series, and the first war continues with the growth of WU ying. it is not as fast paced as some cultivation novels I’ve listened to or even some of the other books by the author, but all in all I think it is a good continuation of the story.

My only complaint is this book isnt 900 pages longer. I need more!!! MORE I TELL YOU! MORE BOOKS! HURRY IM DYING HERE OF BOREDOM IN THIS COVID NIGHTMARE I NEED MORE CRADLE.
