Normally I hate vrmmorpg books because they break immverision with the back you forth between worlds. This however I loved because it didnt do that. I always hate listening for 10+ hours just to be left standing on an edge. If your writing is good enough I should want to come back and see what happens to the characters you’ve made me care about, and not have to be brought back by a poor gimmick. It’s enough to not bring..

Loved this on kindle and had to snap up the audio. Tons of crunch without getting bogged down—the author obviously plays games, which is great to see. The mc grows a ton over the course of the novel and all of the characters have depth but frank is my favorite. Getting to listen to Travis..

I could tell this was a co-written book. Vanderkerken has a different style of action than Krout does and I don’t feel the same type of detailed engagement. That being said, I enjoyed the story and I’m getting the next one.
The MC is my biggest issue with this book he’s too timid and constantly second guessing everything . He is supposed to be intelligent but he makes a lot of stupid mistakes. I will say the narrator Travis Baldree is fantastic so that was a huge plus. The second issue I have with this story..
