I loved this so very much. Hype train for reals waiting on the 2nd book!!!!
The story itself is pretty amazing. The author managed to find the balance of realism and fantastical that makes for a truly unique experience. The battles are still exciting and the various tropes still exist but the characters are far more relatable. Best of all, the April Fools chapter at the end is so good..

not really sure what’s going on here, but it was a chapter. I didn’t hate it but I don’t think it added to my life. I like the series, but I don’t see any reason to read this apart from just supporting the author. I listened to it twice.

Not only do you get amazing character growth but there were concepts and view point that blew my mind. By far one of the most quote worthy books in my collection. I enjoy how you can go from fun and quirky litrpg to deep conversation and back. A must read in any litrpg fandoms.

It’s a wonderful story and I love it but the narrator isn’t that great. He speaks to fast and with constant and random inflections and he’s terrible at doing voices. Honestly this narrator was an EXTREMELY poor choice for this series. If I could give the performance negative stars I would
