Loved it, binged listened to the second half, would’ve binged the whole thing had I had the free time, immediately started the next one. I highly recommend this as an audiobook too – Baldree does a fantastic job with this series.

I can’t wait for book 9. I had been expecting Lindon to bond little blue for a while now.
I just found it tedious, with to much character development. Wished the story moved fasted with less focus on gaining each level.

Will Wight had a fantastic story going on until this book. The fact that Lindon loses in the tournament ruins the entire book and I will not be reading any more of this series. Self-Destruction is the best way to describe this author.

it’s a refreshing change of pace. Rather than the typical story following sometime discovering and growing their new powers or their first dive into the game, we’re joining established characters who are already among the best, so we get to see cool abilities right from the get-go. There’s a strong ‘league of extraordinary gentleman’ feel.
