10/10 the story pacing was nice the narration was on point and I almost went through the book in one sitting because it was a battle of wills to press stop to get rest for work the next day

I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks over the past decade and I would rank this series in my top 3 all time favorites. Most books lack the ability to sustain the emotional connection with the characters, NOT THIS SERIES! I will be diving into the rest of Kohaneks books on my long drives ahead.

I was a bit suspicious about reading an audio book but after the first chapter I changed my mind.

Excellent book! while it is fiction, much of the cultivation practices and concepts are accurate, I love it!

The third book made me hesitant to continue the Thousands Li book series, but this made it all worth it. Book 5 cannot come out too soon!
