This book does something different than the other litrpg’s I have read, no walls of text and not getting to bogged down in the menus. I really enjoyed the story, it had a good pace and kept my attention.

it took a while to enjoy it honestly. for the first 4 hours it was actually a struggle to keep going, even with Travis’s dulcet tones. but once there were other people for frank to talk to, the whole book picked up. but real talk, without Travis’s narration, I don’t think i would’ve made it..

This was a very enjoyable first entry in a trilogy. The 21 hour length was well used and I didn’t feel like it was dragging on. It was nice to see a variety of non-typical races, classes, and game systems. Not excessively violent or bloody. This book covers 4-5? days of time from game start..

A guy who thinks he is prepared finds out differently. Jack eats dog food and struggles to get home after an EMP. Amy,his wife learns to cope and change. Jack is a bit of a whimp until finally getting a backbone at the end. Great writing keeps you interested. Highly recommended.
