The Author has done an amazing job with the first instalment of this series! The story draws in you, in the very first pages, where you get to cheer on the misunderstood MC, who is just looking to start fresh. Imagine you made a D&D character with no weaknesses, metagamed your build as much as possible, and always rolled a natural 20. That’s how it feels to read the main character. It’s not boring, but it did make me roll my eyes sometimes with how perfect he is.

Some of the worst dialogue I’ve ever seen in a book and the lack of depth or logic to every decision every character makes was more than I could take.
