This book appears to be primarily character and world builder. I liked the base development.

the beginning is a lot like jobless reincarnation but this story opens up to be different enough to not be a rip off.

Story starts slow and the terms and characters are hard to figure out initially. However if you stick with it you do get invested in the characters and storyline. I’m already reading soul Smith. Definitely worth the listen. Performance is outstanding.

First, the narration: Travis Baldree does well. Into the 3rd book, nearly 20 hours of the story, and his voice is not tiring or annoying. The story is good. I love how this book is progressing. It is truly starting to gain momentum in the story line and character development I cant wait to get to the next book.

I get we have to keep moving the goalposts, but the fights and tech are fun to hear, the training is boring. I enjoy when the perspective shifts outside of Arthur. Travis still has a great narrator
