Story starts slow and the terms and characters are hard to figure out initially. However if you stick with it you do get invested in the characters and storyline. I’m already reading soul Smith. Definitely worth the listen. Performance is outstanding.

Start slowly, the terms and relationships are hard to figure out initially. Somewhat plotting at times. However if you stick with it it’s worth it. You do get invested in the characters and storyline. I’ve already started on the second book sol Smith.

First, the narration: Travis Baldree does well. Into the 3rd book, nearly 20 hours of the story, and his voice is not tiring or annoying. The story is good. Interesting, a wide and ever-expanding world, and does well not to trip itself up with mistakes. The only issue and warning I think future reader/listeners should..

Training is meh

I get we have to keep moving the goalposts, but the fights and tech are fun to hear, the training is boring. I enjoy when the perspective shifts outside of Arthur. Travis still has a great narrator
