The story is pretty good and enjoyable, but pacing isn’t that great in terms of overall story development

I saw that the first eight books of this series were included with my Audible subscription, but wasn’t sold on the description. Then I saw a review that said something along the lines of “if you’re thinking about starting this book, do yourself a favor and just DO IT.” And holy heck, am I glad..
Perhaps it’s just a pet peeve I’ve developed, or something, but, isn’t there a way to show character depth other than “I have a huge family boner, and that’s the limit of my depth” Like I get it family is important, but do you have to remind the reader of this every moment you can?..

After devouring every last book in this series I gotta leave my review for those thinking of starting this. The first couple books are slow rollers, but they truly set the foundation for the rest of the series. If you listen closely and remember the early books, the small threads pull together at the end..
