This book exceeded my lofty expectations. I’m rooting for team Eithan and he doesn’t disappoint.

This series has potential. Being the first book there is always a level of awkwardness but the ow of the story moves nicely. At first I felt it had a Divergent-esque feel to it but it quickly became very unique. Definitely will continue the series after I finish this book.

Awesome story, tip to tail. Not a single wasted word. You MUST listen to this.

The characters escalated quickly in this piece. The Lindon and Yerin the most, the blood shadow involvement was quite entertaining and a nice surprise. didn’t finish. got real weird when MC (about 30 years old) started talking about how attractive a 5 year old was. Baldree is a fantastic narrator.

This book was absolutely amazing. I love how the main character is kind of a mess but has a tremendous potential for growth. Travis Baldree is amazing as always.

Laz is one of those guys you can’t help but root for! The need to do what is right and protect others is his undoing and he knows it, but he still stands for what he feels is right. I am secretly hoping he and Emma become a couple. They seem to understand each other..
