I do believe that this book is aimed at a younger readers, but even so it was enjoyable. The pacing was a bit slow, but as I said this is most likely for a younger audience.

The boom is great and, the interaction between the lead character and the dumb axe makes the entire thing worth while.
So this book was good but I didn’t like the magic system that much. It also felt a little all over the place compared to his other series . It was still worth a read . But finish his cradle series first . I feel like I jumped in the middle of a story .

I enjoyed listening to this one but have no desire to continue this series. A huge part of the reason is due to Mike. I get the whole cultivation genre always has an egotistical idiot who wants to destroy the MC but Mike’s motivation was just stupid. All the other stuff made this book worth..
