First in a Series

Review from Unsouled →

Complex, lots of details. I didn’t worry too much about keeping track, figured I’d just absorb it along the way. Narrator has good diction, which really helped. Pretty solid.

Wight does a good job with progression fantasy. I’m sucked in now and want to jump right into the next one. I’d really like to see this book turned into an animated series because it’s a great fit for the medium.

I was extremely surprised!

Review from Shadeslinger →

Oddly surprised as I’ve never listened to an audio book or read a litrpg before in my life. Now that it’s over so frustrated with myself that I didn’t realize it came out at the beginning of 2021. Now all I want is for the other books to be out because this was amazing.

Love the singing

Review from Blood and Oak →

Aptly named. Bloody and seafaring – swordfights galore onboard ships. I didn’t expect the songs to be so…. heart-grabbing. I have wistful feelings now for the lonely ash grove.

Wonderful urban fantasy

Review from Dog Walker →

What a good time! Toby the inscrutable, the tension with the hot girl, the skeptical cop – endless action and humor. Masterful narration. Travis makes me love his characters. I love the scritching notes, Ben’s surprised voice, the Luchador. Listened twice!

Perfection

Review from Tamiko and the Two Janitors →

Deep themes flow beneath the beauty and light. The writing, and the narration, is heart-filling; a warm hug. These books are a dream, and a GIFT. Indescribably rich and gorgeous. Just an infusion of love into the world.

Pure delight

Review from Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal →

I want to live in forthright’s universe, where love and kindness is the universal underpinning, while there is no shortage of longing, struggle, and thwarting circumstance driving the story. Listening is a healing infusion of goodness and love, carried by Travis Baldree’s perfect voice.
