The book alone is amazing, but pair that with a top notch voice actor and what you’ve got is pure magic. I’m almost angry that this audiobook is so great, because there isn’t another like it and I’m desperate for more!!
It moves a bit fast in the beginning but gets better I am interested to see what is happy.

Really enjoyed this book. It was was like reliving the old days of Everquest from beta testing till finally letting go after 15 or more expansions. There is just the right amount of geekdom mixed with humor and lore. Look forward to more in this series.
similar to Dragon Heart and Cradle series. its a really good listen, the only issue I have is the names. All the Asian names of characters get hard to differentiate by sound alone to someone who has not heard them before.
There were a few moments I struggled to get through, however after getting past the “I’m a super rich dude, who is lonely all the time” vibes coming from the main character the story arc began to outperform the few problems I had with the book.

I really enjoy this series, and this book wasn’t exactly bad, it just felt…out of place a duller than what came before. Everyone being separated just wasn’t fun, and adding another character to the roster before we get to really know the one we just got in the last book feels like a bit much..
I generally consider flashback chapters as cheap storytelling because it indicates the author is unable to create a linear story that remains engaging throughout. Flashback chapters are way too numerous in this story, and their sheer quantity leaves me as frustrated as I was when reading Steven King’s Dark Tower series. But this is a..
