Doesn’t happen in book 1 or 2, but in the second set the main character’s reaction to finding out that a twelve year old (that he met when she was 5 years old) is in love with him is to kiss her then tell her to not date anyone else so they can get together..

I felt like this part of the book was very different from the rest of these series. hard to pinpoint exactly why but I did not have connections to most of the newly introduced characters. didn’t connect with Cale. All of artorian’s family connections aren’t involved. feels like the extremely powerful B-Ranks and A-Ranks deal..

I read and droped first book of these series atleast 6 times, and just because there are only so much good books on cultivation genre, through much pain I read this book to the end. But next books are very good and has many insights and depth which you would not expect from this genre…
