I disagree with some of these reviewers. I found the characters interesting and world and magic system well drawn out. This has been a great series so far (6 books in) and it has been a wonderful find. There are some similarities to Will Wrights Cradle series but is still unique and of the same..
What more could you ask for? I couldn’t put the book down. I feel it’s a must read.

This book was truly enjoyable as Linden learned much more of the outside story. Where as book 1 felt a bit slow at first book 2 was much more interesting and didn’t waste much time.
I’m only at chapter 3 and my brain just exploded with the information that was just dropped on me. Wow!!!!!
it took a while for me to really like or relate to the characters in this prelude to Cradle but I’m still floored at the world building by Wight and the breathe of life spent by Baldree that make these characters shine.

I could not stop listening. Going to look for more by this author. Some was leading into you thinking other was what’s going to happen next. All of it was a great experience. Narrator did a great job.

story is half finished. it was a good story – and yes I agree the author hates Lindon but it proves he did a good job because we are all so mad about it. That said, write the whole story. don’t base your writing on word count. its a crummy experience for the fans.
This style of writing is designed to piss you off, could not even finish the book.

I honestly belive this is the most well written litrpg out there. It blows the competition out of the water of pulls you from the very beginning and Frank is just badass…. These are my words of my own and not from threat of duress from a bearded axe.
All of our characters are socially dysfunctional and not in an amusing way. There is an early scene where a quest leads them into a brothel and the author attempts to describe a funny scenario–at least I think it’s supposed to be funny–based on the embarrassment of our characters to be in such a place…
