Can’t tell if its the narrator or the actual book. This just didnt work for me.

You definitely need to read this first, the other “first” book will put you to sleep and is hard to follow and even harder to like or be invested in the characters. This one is much better.

In a D&D meets Ready Player One setting the shining grace of this is by far the commentary between the characters. I loved listening to every minute of this series. I’ve listened to all 6 books and am now sad it’s done

Narrator is great so it’s not his fault. But the book was boring at the start that I couldn’t get past the first chapter. Writer needs to focus on the story and not the needless facts of a book within the book.

If you liked Defiance of the Fall series you’ll like this one too! Frank is really a great addition
