Not David’s best work. If it weren’t narrated by Travis I probably wouldn’t have finished it. Can’t put my finger on what I didn’t like though. Just not my vibe.

Mc = self righteous a-hole, trying to throw money at problems which was in fact caused by his own greed. No progression, no sign of change. Makes me think of a spoiled kid.
the story in and of itself is okay. but the focus is on personal growth of the main character through the lens of a game world. fights are predictable, character development is slow and shallow. decent read, but that’s it for me.

I went into this series “un-sold” on whether or not I would enjoy it. I am a picky reader with high standards for any fiction I decide to consume. Ends up I had a real treasure on my hands and didn’t realize it until the first book was almost over. I am now on book..
The writing isn’t as polished as some fictions in the genre. Meaning I find myself at times feeling as though I don’t know why or when Ned has moved into a new area as the writing is somewhat nebulous. Not totally bad and I’m definitely invested in the story. Could just be a small disconnect..

dude this is a series this is the first book It is teaching all you nimwits what is happening in the book the books get better as they go on so maybe read the series before you think it is crap. and the story is still being written. I recommend this book for almost everyone
