MC is just not interesting and the story is so bland. Still waiting for any plot. The supporting characters are also bland and the MC’s sect is so horrid and unhelpful to their students that you wonder how the sect is still atound. The “nobles” are 2 dimensional and the action is…also blah!

Completely enjoyed the new adventures Alex Rogers undertook! The addition of another lead character took me by surprise, however, her role added a whole new twist to the storyline.
Compared to native Chinese Xian Xia or similar cultivating epics, this one is very subdued and much more sane than Chinese counterparts.
