Normally a big fan of Wight’s work, but this book just felt particularly flat. This doesn’t feel like his usual writing style and comes across more as an attempt to ape Sanderson’s style. It shows.

If you are familiar with cultivation novels this pretty much follows suit. It’s good, but very similar to Artorian’s Archives. I am not sure which came first, but I just happened to listen to that one prior. Same narrator and everything. Travis Baldree does wonders as he always does.
