Like way author tells story, easy to understand and good morals in this great story.

this was a great follow-up to the first book! Caught on to the killer early, but was nearly thrown off with each turn, wow

The premise was interesting, just focused too much on intrigue and drama for my liking (and vs expectation).

This was fun. I avoided it for a long time because I thought a talking axe would be jar jar or something, but the characters are good, the mechanics are good, and it’s attention grabbing without too much melodrama or cringe. It’s just fun.

The book was engaging from the start. Hard to stop listening and it flowed really well without getting bogged down in stat pages and such (stats are there like any litrpg but when they pop up it’s not ages listening through every stat again and again on the main character like some books)

I really try to give every book I start a fair shot to set itself apart from other books in its genre. This is the fist book I’ve tried to read from this series. So I can only talk about this specific book. In my opinion it is just a few degrees away from being..

it took me quite a while to get into the story of this book. it didn’t start getting interesting (for me) until part 2. the narrator in my experience was OK. could’ve had more types of voices to differentiate between characters but I’ve been spoiled lately. other than that, his voice was enjoyable to listen..

so many inventive original going on. can’t wait for the resolution. making simple things complicated and complicated things simply.

The Tournament is finally upon us! some wacky hijinks occur prior to the start, but eventually our characters get there and work their way up the ranks. The book ends not at the end of the tournament, but after the Abidan’s recruiter stops by to offer a new grand prize to the tournament. SPOILERS BELOW..
