This was fun. I avoided it for a long time because I thought a talking axe would be jar jar or something, but the characters are good, the mechanics are good, and itโ€™s attention grabbing without too much melodrama or cringe. Itโ€™s just fun.

The book was engaging from the start. Hard to stop listening and it flowed really well without getting bogged down in stat pages and such (stats are there like any litrpg but when they pop up itโ€™s not ages listening through every stat again and again on the main character like some books)

it took me quite a while to get into the story of this book. it didn’t start getting interesting (for me) until part 2. the narrator in my experience was OK. could’ve had more types of voices to differentiate between characters but I’ve been spoiled lately. other than that, his voice was enjoyable to listen..
