like I said. it’s not bad exactly, but I don’t like the MC or his ideals. I get hes supposed to be working on his issues but damn that’s like every MC now. I get it you want him to seem more normal or something but he just comes off as a whiny baby. Also..
I almost let go of the series because of the bad reviews but please do not… the character development is the star of this book…it’s building up.

Man this book has it all. Staying the second book now and can’t wait. Frank can be annoying at times but it makes it worth it when he grows with .
I’ve never gotten into a shonen style book before but I am definitely a fantasy and scifi connoisseur. The world, characters, magic system, everything is so well fleshed out and different that it is worth getting all 12 books. The action never stops but doesn’t get in the way of the world building or character..

amazing book! makes me want more! they are kind of short, but as a fellow author I know how hard it is to write long books.
Outside an obnoxious cliffhanger, this novel was excellent. Luckily, the book after this one is out, so the awful cliffhanger can be forgiven.
