Little basic but what’s there is solid. Stats, check Building management, check Fun characters, check Interesting world, check It’s quick to abandon the “survival” aspect which I was expecting more of from the blurb Travis delivered quality as always

It’s like watching Malcolm in the Middle while Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon plays in the back. Watching a very western every-man journey through the lens of Asian Wuxia is very refreshingly different.
Super-fun, if you like fantasy you’ll like this. If you like Wuxia, you’ll like this. If you like both, this is a perfect book series. Sad it seems the author moved onto other series. Maybe they’ll get back it someday.

the narration is so good. the story is amazing. my only criticism is that it’s too short. I wish each book was twice as long as they are. but I’m going to keep going because I love the series.

This one was a little tough. I feel like the main character backtracked quite a bit. It made for a large swath of the book to be not a lot of fun.
