The bigger picture of the world they live in is becoming much more engaging. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but it continues to build on the strengths of the first book without the weak opening from book 1. Narration is really bordering on 4 vs. 5 star. The author pulls you into a vivid virtual world. The leading character “Ned” is someone who started out portrayed as the silver spoon archetype. As the story progresses you see under the surface and into a more complex character. Looking forward to more.
Firstly, Travis Baldree is why I clicked on this. he is incredible and I seem to just be following him at this point.Secondly, the book was fantastic. it had everything I wanted and kept me wanting to finish the series. it was an incredible read. I would highly recommend it!!

I hope this was because the author did not know what to do next, an act of complete unprepared ignorance. Rather, I must also believe they thought this out in great detail, evidenced by the triple world building, and meh attempt to unveil a pantheon of gods from earth (insert religion here) history who shepherd..

I tried this for the high ratings. Listened to the first 5 chapters and thought it would be a safe and boring progression book. Perfectly suited for some older children, but boring for adults. I put it down for 2 years. I was WRONG. After encouragement from many fans saying the start is the weakest..
What an exciting escape this tale provides! I’ve been able to refer to to my children, all of whom love Saphira and Tenaka Khan, so fun!
