this is a great start to a series, albeit a bit slow moving. it does set up for a great future though

Literally every fight Lindon has been in has been disappointing up until ghostwater. Then he fought Ekeri and I thought this might finally have a character with a spine and skill to back it up. Then every fight after that felt…so Deus ex machina with Dross involved. Then he goes back to getting his ass..

Often as I listen through book after book, I find the story waxing and waning based upon the author’s skill and imagination in crafting their stories. This particular story is definitely “waxing.” It’s better than the last book and has me hurriedly reaching to download the next in the series. Well done Mr. Wight.
