Reminds me alot of Chinese martial arts series I read as a kid. I wonder if the author is influenced by author like Kim Dung. I love stories like this where honest, hard work with a splash of miraculous luck can bring a nobody to the height of achievements. The best type of underdog story.

I tried so hard to enjoy this book. The premise is interesting, and the world is vibrant. I love this series. If you like an underdog story, this is like no other. Travis Baldree brings the story to life and has me rolling when he reads the bloopers at the end of the book. I’m always excited for the next one to come out.
