I went searching for a good romcom and thought, hey pumpkin spice! But no. The writing style is okay, character development lacking and it takes FOREVER (quite literally the end) before actual plot development arises.

Great start to the series

This was the perfect mix of darkness and obsession for me. I loved the mafia aspect, as well as the arranged/forced marriage. There wasn’t necessarily love on page yet, but you could certainly see it coming for the next book. I wasn’t aware this was a trilogy, but for once, I’m excited to read more..
3.5 Stars

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first installment, was actually quite bored for most of the book. The entire trip to Italy could have been cut in my opinion, unless the people we met there will come into play in the next book. I understand that they were couples from other books..
Lost steam for the series
Review from Unraveled →
I think by the end, I was just waiting for the trilogy to be over. There were some high action moments as things came together at the end, but for the most part, I was just listening to be done. I am very interested in Mira and Nicoli’s story, but I think it will be..
terrible narration
Review from Master of Salt & Bones →
There are 2 narrators, male and female, but they don’t make distinction between the characters gender. So all FMC’s povs are narrated by the female, including the lines for male characters. And all MMC’s povs are narrated by the male narrator, including the linesc of female characters. I didn’t like this, made it seem lazy..
Good addition to series
