This was a great, fast-paced sci-fi thriller in the vein of Michael Crichton or Blake Crouch. The numerous references to sci-fi novels felt a bit tiring, akin to the many ’80s references in “Ready Player One,” but that’s a minor gripe in what is overall a great book.
