MC had no personality. I wasn’t drawn in , or invested in the characters at all. Honestly, they could have killed off either of the main characters and I wouldn’t have cared. I want my credit back.

I listen to a lot of books and enjoy when there is a female and male narrators. Have to say, the male narrator in this book made it nearly impossible to finish this book. His voice is like a creepy……Would have been so much better with a different male narrator. Definitely won’t be listening to..

Such a great story! The writing and dialogue are fantastic – nothing cheesy here!! I thought romance progressed at an appropriate rate as well. Not too fast. I liked the narrators, although it’s not Alex Judd’s best work. Very choppy on this one. Sarah Puckett did a great job.

Heavy spice but writing style is so-so

If you want fantasy with heavy spice, look no further than Amelia Hutchins. However, the juvenile turn of phrases and dialogue in the book are a mark against the book. I love her other series and for that reason I will give book 2 a shot before deciding whether to finish the series.
