Much of the early content was very informative, but I may have preferred skipping almost the entire second half, which seemed to mostly devolve into reciting and re-reciting long lists of Buddhist precepts over and over with very little description of how they came to be and how they apply in a modern understanding.

excellent narration and writing. I loved the mix of the author’s personal journey with running with Larson’s story and relentless belief in his training concepts. listened to 90% of it while running and it was a perfect book for that.
We all hang together or we all get hanged seperately as explained over a variety of scientific literature and the personal experiences of the authors with Bonobo monkeys which are worth the read by themselves.

This is a great book, I highly recommend it. The mental models discussed in the book will undoubtedly be useful in a person’s life.
Thich Nhat Hanh does an amazing job going over an outline of what the Buddha gifted us. Hanh makes the basic teachings of Buddhism easy to digest and even enjoyable. René Ruiz does a fine job delivering Hanh’s words.
I bought this book without reading the description, because of the authors other books. I listen to a lot of audiobooks, ~2 per week. This was one of the best I’ve listened to all year. Already recommended it to two friends who agree.
