while the protagonist is reasonably intelligent, he sometimes acts in seriously stupid ways in order to further the storyline. it’s a sign showing the authors inability to transition without it. also some forced woke bits that some may find uncomfortable to be pushed into their face.

While Dunning is new to me, Thron certainly isn’t. And I was here for Thron, stayed for Dunning. Both do a wonderful job with Darling of Fate. And I’m a sucker for a good animal sidekick. Go goose!
