The first book was absolutely excellent, except I often have found myself disappointed until the very end about what options spot/void had available and chose. With his choices and with a more proper growth of his worship in the second book I’m very impressed and think the story will be consistently more exciting going forward.

Four books in and this is the first lit RPG series I’ve read with actual video games as video game that’s worth the read. Amazing storytelling. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is there are a handful of contextual translations that don’t quite flow in English. Still, amazing work.
