I received this book from Audiobooks unleashed and I am leaving an unbiased review. Barry J Hutchinson just keeps killing it with his books. His world building is excellent, characters are distinct and sprinkles in the humor at just the right times. Phil Thron does an amazing job narrating. I can’t wait to hear more.
My soon-to-be 13 yo, along with his nearly 15 yo brother listened to the first 5 chapters before their mother heard the F word & stopped it. Turns out, that word was said multiple times, along with a descriptive scene during a rape! Deleted off device immediately.

I have never cared more for a protagonist than I did Josh in Benjamin W. Bass’s Alone in the Light. This one surprised me since it is not my normal genre; however, Bass created a character that could not be denied. The reading is one of the best I have heard this year.

I immediately related to the main character Cal, he is a perfect smart ass that is also somehow endearing. These books are mostly on the lighter side but have their moments of sadness and loss that really bring the storyline home. Great performance by Phil Thron, he has quickly become one of my favorite narrators.
I like this book. Though it isn”t a comedy in my opinion, it’s definitely not “un-funny.” It’s got the normal amount, maybe more, of humor that you’d get from a collection of strange people normally interacting. This latest installment in the Space Team Space Opera is both entertaining and very funny. The characters are engaging and Hutchison does a good job of keeping each one separate and distinct. This one really made the miles go by and helped me to escape the real life Zombie Apocalypse going on right now. Narrator..
Nothing wrong with the book. I just couldn’t get into the story. I think it was a bad pick on my part.

I enjoyed this book a lot better then the ones before because there weren’t as much cursing in it. I don’t believe profanity helps a story.
I had never heard of this author, but I thought the plot sounded interesting so I picked up this book and I’m so glad I did. This was such a hilarious book, I was laughing the whole time and the narrator did a great job with each of the characters.
