I wasn’t blown away but it might just be because zombies are a saturated genre. The characters were at time a little one dimensional. At one point there was a comment about all the female leaders emerging but the characters they were referring to were emotionally fragile to the point it didn’t make sense that..
Kinda dragged on in the latter half, the MCs were very slow to get their sh*t together. But it had laughs and epic moments and made for fine entertainment.

Not the best book but worth a read.. Phil Thron is definitely one of the best narrator’s. Slow burn is probably the best books he’s narrated, that I know of.

Wanted to like it more but it reads like a fantasy. Throw realism out the door and every unprobable thing you can imagine is exactly what will happen
repetitive phrasing almost lost with me the over use of the line a price he had to pay. also the Ogre and the harpy bit was way over used as well. great take on the end of world. but I never wanna hear those two phrases again.
