Very good read and a fantastic listen. the narrator was wonderful. No harem and no overbearing clichés’ (there are some but they are bearable).
When Cal arrives on Pictish (not sure I’ve spelled that correctly), the planet where Dan Deadman lives, he is completely unprepared for his run in with this seemingly sweet restauranteur. She’s tough but fair and she takes care of her own. I laughed out loud throughout the book, and this 70-something weapon wielding manager steals..

My litrpg book group recommended this book and it didn’t disappoint. Great story with plenty of cultivation, leveling, and action. Not to mention power schemes and just enough personal trauma to invest in the MC.
